Featured Topic: Acne

Acne is a disorder of the hair follicle sebaceous glands, consisting of non-inflammatory lesion (open and closed comedones) and inflammatory lesions (papules, pustules and nodules). The maturing sex glands during puberty enhance the secretion of the endocrine system thus leading to hyper steatosis and occlusion of sebaceous glands associated with hair follicles. Many factors are responsible for the development of acne-sebum excretion, androgenic hormones, occlusion of sebaceous glands pores, and infection with Propionibacterium acne. The development of acne is also influenced by genetic factors, gastrointestinal function, environmental factors, cosmetics and emotional factors.

However my many years' research and experience have revealed that they are other factors will exacerbate Acne condition and they include overeating fats and carbohydrates, hot and spicy food, deep-fried food and lack of sleeping or sleep in.
